Veterinarian & Staff Training

Many people don’t realize that it can be an incredibly traumatic experience for dogs when they are transported to the veterinarian’s office. The dog is often forced from their home into a small crate and driven to an unfamiliar location where they are left alone in a strange room filled with foreign smells, sounds, and people. The dog is also confused about their owner’s intent, the person they trust the most, as to why they would do this to them. Cavalletto Canine works with veterinary staff to train them on how to handle pets under duress in a caring manner.

Companion Therapy/Emotional Support Dog Advisor

Emotional Support Dogs help lessen anxiety and depression, as well as provide a watchful eye over and comfort for their owners. Emotional Support Dogs are recognized under federal housing laws, so they are allowed to live in homes or apartments that do not usually permit dogs. At Cavalletto Canine, we offer help with the selection of Emotional Support Dogs for those not already in possession of a dog. For housing professionals, we can advise whether or not an Emotional Support Dog is reasonably well-behaved by pet standards, ensuring the dog is fully housebroken and possesses no undesirable habits that might disturb your neighbors.
